Sat 16, June 2001
First boat dive, first time diving magic point sharks. Amazing experience.

This was our first dive in Fish Rock. We went down to see the famous gray nurse sharks who were swiming at about 30 meters. There were over 10 sharks, some of them quite big. After staying with them for a while we made our way back slowly swimming amongst thousands of fish.

This time we went down to go through Fish Rock's famous cave. It was absolutely unreal! The cave was full of wobbegong sharks. We went up the chimney and bumped into a huge turtle that was feeding itself there. We also spot some lobsters, eels and nudibranches. We finished the dive going up the slope with a big school of small yellow fish. At the end of the dive we were surrounded by batfish while doing our safety stop.

Lots and lots of sting rays, several bull rays and a 1.5m bull ray. First time I see a shark, a Grey Nurse shark of 2m, very impressive and scary. Saw a lobster, several small fish together, an Eel inside a rock and a huge sea snail. Very nice dive. The weight is better with 5kg for a 7mm suit.

Second dive in Terrigal. So enjoyable! We have seen more of the huge bull rays. We came accross a grey nurse shark about 1.5m long! We've seen also a big eel, a dead lobster and an impressive snail crawling the ocean's bottom. We've finished with the biggest of the bull rays just possing for us!
